About the opportunity: You will have the opportunity to complete a twelve week unpaid internship with the potential to be hired at the end of the program. As a Developer Intern you will be designing and developing high frequency trading strategies in the derivative markets and related cash markets as directed from principals and traders at our firm. To be successful at our firm, this person needs to have experience or interest in high performance computing and also strategy development in financial markets. The candidate must be a team player with strong listening skills and is willing to learn from other technical resources. We provide an informal atmosphere with strategic and focused outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
- C/C++,OOp, STL, Multithreading, Sockets, Internals, High Availability and Shell scripting, all on a Linux platform
- Solid with data structures, STL algorithms, C++ templates and some experience with system programming 
- Experience working with open source libraries like Boost and Ace  
- Scripting language experience (e.g. Python)
- Flexibility to listen and learn from others
- Experience with relational database integration and SQL 
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with enhancing and maintaining mission-critical software in a fast-paced environment
- Profiling and dynamic program analysis
